WHY BECOME A U.S. ATTORNEY?
Passing a U.S. state bar exam and becoming an American attorney adds valuable credentials to your C.V. or resumé and gives you the capability and expertise to work with international clients, deal with cross-border transactions, and understand the differences between U.S. and international law. Beyond choosing to practise law in the U.S. or abroad, you may be eligible for many positions in specialised areas such as consulting, international arbitration, international human rights, corporate in-house counsel for international businesses, and many more.
Graduates with a full-time, three or four year common law degree, which must be of substantial and durational equivalence to an American law degree, may be immediately eligible to apply to sit the New York bar examination. Qualified lawyers who do not possess a common law degree can apply to take the California bar exam.
What is the format of the International Bar Review Course?
The International Bar Review Course is offered as a self-study program accessible from anywhere in the world, including recorded video lectures, access to our online learning platform, books, study flashcards, and 1:1 personal support from mentors. Students typically study 20-30 hours per week for the 6-month program or 10-15 hours per week for the 10-month program. Our online learning platform further provides quizzes and pass rate prediction scores.

SELF-STUDY TIME
A typical student in the 6-month Home Study or a classroom programme will study 20-30 hours per week. Candidates in the 10-month Home Study programme should expect 10-15 hours per week.
